Óscar Fernández: “We have to insist, persist and follow on from our latest win at the Antonio Puchades”
VCF Mestalla will be back in action at the Antonio Puchades on Saturday 10th of April for their second game in the second phase of the season at 6 pm kick-off time against UE Olot.
“We’re coming into it as always, with the desire to win. It’s being a tough season. We started off the second phase with a loss after doing many things well and going in front.
We need to look back at our latest home win over La Nucía, it was a solid performance from the boys, and we have to insist and persist to achieve that follow-on home win.
UE Olot are a very similar side to us, they want to play well, take the initiative and they are doing many things really well but they lack effectiveness in front of goal. They only managed to score from a set-piece situation which is an asset they put to really good use.
It’s going to be a highly-contested game between two sides who are being penalised for their mistakes, for not finishing off their chances and lacking effectiveness in the opposition box.
It’s going to be a similar game to the last few games that we’ve played at home against sides like the likes of FC La Nucía or Orihuela”.
